Joan Findlay’s works will be on display in the Littman Gallery throughout March 2010. Findlay sees painting as an act of discovery. Throughout her career as an artist, she has enjoyed controlling the paint and allowing it to control her. She sees the act of painting and viewing of painting as involving emotional and spiritual transcendence, as well as tangible elements, which need not be named or quantified.
